Ramona Rodriguez, 84, of Pawnee, Texas, died August 31, 2009 in Kenedy. She was born August 31, 1925 in Seymore, Texas.
Mrs. Rodriguez married Dionicio C. Rodriguez in May of 1946. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Rodriguez was a housewife and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pawnee.
Survivors include her daughters: Gloria (Robert, Sr. (Gonzales); Guadalupe (Juan, Sr.) DeLeon; San Juanita (Domingo, Sr.) DeLeon all of Pawnee; daughter-in-law, Rosa Linda Rodriguez of Kenedy; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; father, Inez Martinez; mother, Mauricia Reyes Martinez; son, Dionicio Rodriguez, Jr.
A rosary was recited September 2, 2009 at 7 p.m. at Eckols Chapel.
Funeral mass was held September 3, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Richard Zielinski officiating.
Burial was in the De Ntra Sra De Guadalupe Cemetery in Pawnee.
Pallbearers were: Robert Gonzales Jr., John DeLeon, Eloy DeLeon, J. J. Rodriguez, Rodolfo Gonzales, Gerardo DeLeon, Domingo DeLeon Jr., Hector Rodriguez, D. J. Gonzales and Ramon DeLeon.
