Neffie Lee Nicholson of Gillett TX, went to be with our Lord on November 6, 2009.
Neffie was born September 23, 1925 in San Saba County Texas. The eldest daughter of Carl & Nettie Hopson who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are her brothers, Edward Hopson, Bill Hopson; sisters, Wanda Elledge, and Georgia Blades; and nephew Donald Hopson.
Ms. Nicholson is survived by son, Albert F. and wife Shelia Nicholson of Redwood, California; adopted daughters Sharon and husband Louis Scotti of Austin TX, Doris and husband Jimmy Ford of Gillett, TX; brother Rick Hopson and wife Hazel of Gillett; sisters, Winona Stewart of Port Naches, TX, Doris Fellers of Gillett; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A visitation took place Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Finch Funeral Chapel from 4pm-5pm. A graveside service was held Monday, November 9, 2009 at 10:00AM at the Gillett Cemetery in Gillett, TX. Services were under the direction of Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon, TX.
The Rev. Tommy Remmers did officiate the service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Breast Cancer Society. You are invited to sign the online guest book at www.finchfuneralchapels.com.
