Mercedes Arigullin of Runge, age 81, passed away November 22, 2009. She was born to the late Francisco and Balhina Arigullin on March 25, 1928 in Runge. She is survived by her children Sylvia Reinard of Bessmer City, NC, Raymond Arigullin and his wife Charlette of Runge, Yolanda Naranjo and her husband Sammy of Yorktown; her sister Leandra Caballero of Corpus Christi; Eight Grandchildren, and Eight Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Selvestre Arigullin, Rumaldo Arigullin, and Domingo Arigullin. A Rosary was recited at 7:30 PM, Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Rhodes Chapel in Runge. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Runge. Father Gabriel was the celebrant of the Mass. Interment followed in the Runge Latin American Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers were Wesley Arigullin, Richard Naranjo, Matthew Naranjo, David Caballero, Jr., Mark Torres, and Daylyn Arigullin. Honorary Pallbearers were Brian Arigullin, Dr. Gordon Barth, Margie Tamez, and Fermin Tamez. Services were entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Home, Inc. (800) 780-3334.
