Earl Bonner

Earl Bonner, 83, of Runge died November 20, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Bonner was born January 12, 1926 to Storey Bonner and Fann Nunn Bonner in Sweetwater, Texas.
Mr. Bonner married Bobbie Vestal April 17, 1947 in Iowa Park, Texas. He was a resident of Karnes County since 1993 and served in World War II in the Pacific in the Marine Corps. He was an oil field worker; rancher and member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie of Runge; daughter, Cristy (Reynolds) Todd of Alice, Texas; sons, Bill Bonner of Corpus Christi and Joe Bonner of Runge; sisters, JoAnn Leonard and Reba Lou Renfro of Fort Worth; Margaret Willis of Midland and Lila Ruth Cox of Merkle, Texas; brothers, Cylde Bonner of Caldwell and Royce Bonner of Abilene; five grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation was held November 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. in Eckols Chapel. Funeral service was held November 23, 2009 at 2 p.m at the Church of Christ in Runge.
Burial was in the Runge Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service were: John Paul Magnus, Spencer Braune, Bock Bonner, Mickey Sharp, Shawn McGuire and Roger Dale Willis. Memorials contributions may be made to the Sunnyglenn Children’s Home in San Benito, Texas.
