Sidney Irene Cooksey

Sidney Irene Cooksey, age 55, of Kenedy, passed away November 30, 2009 in San Antonio.  She was born in Kenedy, Texas to Gladys Radicke Tenberg and Willis Tenberg on February 1, 1954.  Sidney was married to David Wayne Cooksey on April 17, 1995 in Beeville, TX. She lived most of her life in Karnes County; she was a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church.  She is survived by her husband David Wayne Cooksey, her mother Gladys Tenberg, her daughters Gladys Marie Lerch and Melissa Pena, all of Kenedy, her sons Stacey Adams of Round Rock, Richard Alan Lerch, III of Kenedy, and James Matthew Cooksey of Kenedy, sisters Jodi Angell of Edna, Jerry Radicke of Knippa, and Jennifer Barkley of Knippa, brothers Tim Tenberg of Yoakum, Paul Tenberg of Hewitt, and Bill Tenberg of Round Rock.  She was preceded in death by her father Willis Tenberg, sister Amy Tenberg, and brothers Mark Wayne Tenberg and Daniel Tenberg.  Visitation was held Friday December 4th at Eckols Chapel. The funeral service was held Saturday December 5th at 1 pm at Eckols Chapel; Reverend John Wheat officiated. Pallbearers were David Cooksey, James Matthew Cooksey, Stacey Adams, Richard Alan Lerch III, Tim Tenberg, Paul Tenberg, Bill Tenberg, and Tommy De Los Santos. Interment followed at the Kenedy Cemetery in Kenedy Texas.
