San Juanita “Janie” Garcia, age 59, of Nordheim, passed away December 5, 2009 in Yorktown. She was born to the late Serapio Salinas and the late Maria Garza Salinas on March 29, 1950 in Yorktown. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband Ramiro Garcia, Sr., her sons Ramiro Garcia, Jr. and his wife Becky and Michael Garcia, her daughters Angie Garcia, Marsha Trevino and her husband Eliah, and Josie Torres, eight sisters, two brothers, and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one brother. Visitation began at 8:30 AM, Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Rhodes Chapel in Runge with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral Mass was celebrated at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 11, 2009 at San Luis Catholic Church in Yorktown. Interment followed the Mass in the San Luis Catholic Cemetery.
