Doris Sellers

Doris Sellers, age 94, of San Antonio, Texas and formerly of Kenedy, Texas went to her final rest January 7, 2010. She passed away in San Antonio, Texas. Doris was born December 11, 1915 in Corrale County, Texas to James and Ina Fair Trussell. Doris married Mr. Ferdinand Sellers on September 20, 1936 in Melvin, Texas. The couple had two sons and made their home in Kenedy, Texas where Mrs. Sellers was a bookkeeper for their family business, Sellers Drug Store. Doris was also a member of the Community Bible Church in Kenedy, Texas.
Mrs. Sellers is survived by her husband, Ferdinand Sellers of San Antonio, Texas, and sons Ron Sellers and Steve Sellers, both of San Antonio, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father, James Trussell; mother, Ina Fair Harman Trussell; sister, Vivian Ramsey; and brother, Harman Trussell.
A visitation was held Saturday, January 9, 2010 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm at Eckols Chapel. The funeral service followed at 2:30 pm; Chaplain James Taylor officiated. Interment followed at the Kenedy Cemetery in Kenedy, Texas. Pallbearers were Don Franklin, Jim Tobe Atkinson, Eddie Ruhmann, Joe Mauch, Larry Kiesling, and Steve S. Sellers; honorary pallbearers were Roy Freeman and Marshall Bates. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
