TOP STEER BRINGS BIG CASH

Falls City FFA Member Clayton Glover, whose steer took grand champion honors, poses for a photo with his steer and the group of buyers who bid $4,500 for the grand champion steer in Saturday night's auction. The auction was the final event in the three-day long annual Karnes County Youth Show. Organizers say that this year's show was a tremendous success. The Karnes Countywide is planning to publish a special section about the 2010 Karnes County Youth Show on Feb. 3 with detailed show information, results and photos. Buyers pictured with Glover include Pico Petroleum, HEB, Falls City National Bank, Falls City Milling Co., Steve Dziuk Ameriprise Financial, Par 4 Mini Storage-Chris & Kathy Jendrusch, Lyssy & Echol, Shorty's Cafe, Randy Pieprzyca, CB Supply, Bailey Farms, CSI, C.W. Lake & Associates, EOG Resources, Church's Chicken, Walmart and Barbara Najvar Shaw.
