KC powerlifters compete in Louise

The Karnes City Badgers and Lady Badgers powerlifting teams competed at the Louise Powerlifting Championships on Saturday.
The Varsity Girls placed 5th as a team.
The girls team consisted of Kelsey Stulting: 3rd place in the 114lb weight class, Darian Ramirez: 5th place in the 123lb weight class, Alex Soliz: 8th place in the 123lb weight class, Julie Mendoza: 4th place in the 132lb weight class, Maria Moncada: 3rd place in the 165lb weight class, Yvonne Gatica: 2nd place in the 181lb weight class, Victoria Estrada: 5th place in the 198lb weight class, Tatiana Tinocco: 4th place in the 220+lb weight class, and Vanessa Benavides: 5th place in the 220+lb weight class.
The varsity boys team consisted of Austin Block: 9th place in the 181lb weight class, Weston Block: 10th place in the 181lb weight class, Lucas Janysek: 8th place in the 242lb weight class, Izzy Perez 7th place in the 275lb weight class, and Zack Pawelek: 3rd place in the SHW division.
