Santos M. Lopez, 87, of Hobson, Texas, passed away, Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in Floresville, Texas. Santos was born November 3, 1922 in Pettus, Texas to Lupe and Francisca Arrisola Martinez. She married Gilbert Lopez in 1945, was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughters, Elsia Trevinio of Floresville, Texas, Gloria Peterson, and husband Tony, of New Orleans, Louisiana, Allona Lopez Hopper of South Carolina; and son, Edmund Lopez of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Lopez; father, Lupe Martinez; her mother, Francisca Arrisola Martinez; sons, Manuel and Joseph Lopez; sister, Angie Pena; and brother, Bernadino Martinez. A rosary was held on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Eckols Chapel. The funeral service was held Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 10:00 am followed by a graveside service at Mineral Cemetery in Mineral, Texas with Reverend Norbert Herman officiating. Pallbearers were Joe Jaramillo, Jimmy Jaramillo, Sidney Jaramillo, Rusty Mullenix, David Wallace, and Johnny Martinez.
