Kenedy drops to 1A
by UIL reclassification shakes up local sports schedules

The University Interscholastic League has reclassified Kenedy ISD as a member of the football Conference 1A, Division 1 [150] District 16 for 2010-2011, based on the latest biennial alignment and classification report.
There they will be joined by Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco, Charlotte and LaVilla Independent School Districts as opponents.
Karnes City football will remain in Conference 2A, Division 2. They will compete in District 14 with Dilley, Nixon Smiley, Poth, San Antonio Brooks, Stockdale and Three Rivers districts. New to the district are Dilley, San Antonio Brooks and Three Rivers.
Falls City and Runge football programs will continue to compete in Conference 1A, Division 2 [150] District 16. Included in that district are Agua Dulce, Benavides, Bruni, Pettus and Woodsboro.
In 2010-2011 basketball, Falls City and Kenedy will compete in Conference 1A, Division 1 [150] District 31. There they will compete with Pettus, Port Aransas and Woodsboro. Karnes City will compete in Conference 2A [150] District 30. They will match up against Cotulla, Dilley, George West, Jourdanton, Natalia, Poth and Three Rivers school districts.
