Shredding documents and fixing roads took center stage at Karnes County Commissioners Court Friday, though the court hold only discussions and took action on neither item.
Price quotes for shredding approximately 400 boxes of documents ranged from $700 to $2,400, according to county treasurer Vi Malone, and details are still being worked out as to where that money will come from.
The roads discussion stemmed from concerns about possible county liability if an individual was injured while making their own improvements to county roads. Court tabled the item to a future meeting and will examine road policies in neighboring counties before coming back with further discussions at its next meeting.
