Ramiro "Sam" Alvear, 61, of Poth, Texas Formerly of Kenedy, died Sunday, July 18, 2010 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on Nov. 14, 1948 in Lamesa, TX. He worked as a construction laborer for General Shelters and was affiliated with the Primera Iglesia Bautsista in Kenedy, TX.
Ramiro was preceded in death by his father, Victor Alvear; his mother, Manuela Flores;his sisters Amalia Zambrano, Audelia Guerra, and Maria Orneles; and his brother Raul Gonzales. He is survived by his sons, Daniel (Monica) Baldaramos of San Diego, CA, Chris Baldaramos of San Antonio, and Julian Baldaramos of Ca; sisters Amelia Bosquez of Littlefield, TX, and Elisa Lopez of Poth, TX; brothers Guadalupe Gonzales of Guymon, OK, Leo Alvear of Florida, Robert Alvear of Dalhart, TX, Raymond Alvear of Kenedy, and Rueben Alvear of Beeville, TX as well as 5 grandchildren.
Services will be on Thursday, July 22, beginning at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral mass, officiated by Pastor Benny Herrera, and then Interment in the Loma Alta Cemetery, Kenedy, TX. Eckols Funeral Home, Inc.
