Shoes

Folks, Betty has been having some problems with her feet. Consequently Dr. Scott advised some change in footwear including inserts for her shoes to help solve the problem with her feet.

So, with Craig as our chauffer, we headed for San Antonio to purchase some shoes for my lady. Now some men and all women know that shopping for shoes is a special event! Be that as it may this shopping trip was different. We were not looking for the latest style, color or height of the heel. No sirree Bob. We were looking for comfort and stability!

I doubt it if we men realize just how much style means to women. Here we were shopping for shoes and style was not being considered; at least by me.

"Dear," I said. "What is really important is what is best for your feet regardless of how they look!"

Now folks, my wife is not a stupid person, by a long shot, but she looked at me like I had a hole in my head!

"I am sure they make good looking, sensible and stylish shoes that are good for your feet," she haughtily replied! I did not belabor my point as I am not stupid either.

Now ladies I am not against you wearing stylish shoes. However I grew up in a home with two older sisters who were constantly buying the latest style of shoes available. I also remember them complaining about sore feet and legs and knees that hurt.

So ladies I will admire your stylish footwear, but don’t complain to me, and more importantly to your husband, that your feet hurt.
