It's me

Lately I have had the words of an old spiritual song running around in my mind.

The actual title of the song is ‘Standing in the need of prayer.’

The words that are running around in my mind are, "It’s me, it’s me oh Lord standing in the need of prayer. It’s not my brother nor my sister but it’s me oh Lord, standing in the need of prayer."

It is very easy for mankind to look at others and see their need for our prayers. This is especially true when these people are of a different color, culture or beliefs.

Of course, in many cases, they may need our prayers.

Be that as it may, perhaps, just perhaps, the need for prayer for ourselves might be needed if our attitude is that we are superior to others.

I don’t know about you folks but it’s me who is standing in the need of prayer.
