A different quail
The other morning my wife, Betty, and I were sitting out on our back deck sipping coffee, looking at some of the beautiful flowers and shrubs when she heard what she thought was a quail call.
She asked me if I heard that quail call.
I told her I heard a bird sing, but that was not a quail.
A short time later the call came again.
"See," I said. "It sounds something like a quail but it is not a true quail call."
A short time later it called again. This time it did sound more like a real quail call.
"Honey," I said. "That sounded more like a real quail call. Do you suppose that it has just arrived from south of the border and is whistling Roberto Blanco because it has not yet learned how to whistle in English?"
Suddenly an answering "Bob White" call was returned.
Wouldn’t it be great if mankind would be as intelligent as birds and accept our fellow human beings even though their voices and songs may differ from ours?
Think About It!
