Those howling winds
Folks, a while back when the temperature dropped into the low thirties I got to thinking about my days as a youth in Ohio.
How well I remember lying in my bed listening to the wind howling and rattling the loose fitting windows in my upstairs bedroom.
If that wind was blowing snow, a light deposit of snow would be on the window sill inside my bedroom.
When this occurred I would shiver a bit and snuggle down further into the wool blankets and goose down filled comforter to get relief from the cold.
I don’t know about y’all but this is what I still do when things get rough. I snuggle up closer to God and my friends for comfort.
So perhaps, just perhaps when the howling winds of life tend to rattle us we turn to who we know will be our comforter.
