My escort dog

Folks, for some time now, the Terry Johnson’s family dog has been meeting me each morning as I ride our golf cart out to get the mail. He greets me as I approach the Johnson property line. I swear folks that I can see a grin on his face as I approach.

He not only escorts me but acts as my guard dog as well.

He goes sniffing around searching for any vicious jack rabbits or other creatures who might wish to do me harm. He escorts me to the mail box at the end of our ranch road but never crosses the cattle guard at the end of the road.

He escorts me back to the lane that goes to our son and daughter-in-laws house. He goes no further as this territory belongs to the Brubaker dogs, Bear, Sadie and Baby. They protect this territory and allow no other canine to invade it.

So my escort dog turns around and heads back for Terry and Melanie Johnson’s ranch. Be that as it may, I know he will be there to greet me tomorrow morning and I appreciate his noble efforts.
