Volunteers from Runge churches worked together Saturday to provide Thanksgiving meals to some of their Runge neighbors.

About 200 meals were prepared and were either served at the Runge VFW Hall or delivered to local homes during the third annual Runge Council of Churches Thanksgiving Dinner.

The plates were made up of ham, sweet potatoes, green beans, bread and cake for dessert.

Churches that participate in this event include the St. Anthony Catholic Church, Heavenly Gates Family Worship, Jerusalem Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Runge, St. Paul Lutheran Church of Runge, Church of Christ and the First Methodist Church of Runge.
