Early voting begins February 19

Early voting will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 19 in the Karnes County Courthouse at 8 a.m.

It will continue Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Anyone who would like to vote by mail is asked to call the county clerk’s office to request an application. If an application has been sent, voters are asked to return it so that the county clerk’s office can mail a ballot to the requestor.

College students or anyone working outside the county during early voting and on Election Day can vote by mail.

Every registered voter is eligible to vote early and the county clerk’s office is encouraging voters to visit the courthouse to cast their votes.

Anyone who has questions about early voting can call the county clerk’s office at 780-3938. There are sample ballots available at the county clerk’s office.

The last day ballots can be mailed to requestors is Tuesday, Feb. 26.

The county clerk’s office is encouraging everyone to remember to vote.

The last day for early voting is Friday, Feb. 29.
