Karnes City kids in elementary school and junior high have had new principals since the start of 2007.

Doug Wozniak has taken over as principal of the elementary school. Former elementary school Principal Jeanette Winn has taken the principal job at the junior high.

She’ll be replacing Ron Baker, who submitted his resignation late last year. Baker will continue on in other administrative capacities, including helping out with TAKS testing, until his official June 30 retirement date.

Baker’s resignation came after serving seven years as Karnes City’s junior high principal.

There were no other changes in administrative positions at Karnes City schools.
