($6 at the door/free for children 12 years and under).

The Children’s Hospital Trail Ride celebrates its 20th anniversary on March of 2008. Together with the surrounding communities they have donated more than $572,000 to CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital for children to receive care. In 2007 150,000 children from 90 counties across South Texas came to CSRCH for inpatient and out patient care. One example of life-saving care provide by the hospital is 7 month old Ryder Griffin from Jourdanton, TX. Ryder is one of thousands of children from South Texas who has received treatment from CSRCH.

"At six weeks old he had a cyst and tumor on the right side of his brain," said his mom Tommie Griffin. "Thanks to CSRCH our son is currently on his second chemo regimen for Glioblastoma. Ryder does not stop cooing and kicking or stops from discovering his fingers and tongue."

His parents would not only like to thank the nurses, doctors, case workers and chaplain services but the men and women who roll up their sleeves to donate and work to raise money for the many children at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital.

"They are true heroes to many," she said.

This year Ryder is scheduled to have a procedure that may keep him from attending the Trail Ride. His family hopes everyone could join in on the festivities to help him and his little friends at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital raise funds for other children.
