Those wishing to file as a write-in candidate have until March 19 at 5 p.m. to submit their application.
In Runge, all three elected officials on the city council — Runge’s Mayor Homer Lott, Jr. and council members Irma Ortiz and Eloy Nunez — will see their terms expire.
On the school board in Runge, seats held by place one’s Zachary Yanta, place four’s Felix Zapata, and place seven’s Robert Molina will expire.
On Kenedy’s city council, district one’s Ken Reiley will see his term expire along with district three’s Joseph Castillo and district five’s Bob Patton.
Kenedy school board seats in district one, occupied by Velma Garza, and district seven, occupied by Dwain Groff, will expire.
In Falls City, Mayor Vi Malone and council members Gary Jendrusch and Ralph Bollman will have their seats up for grabs.
At the Falls City school, Patrick Jarzombek and Edward Bordovsky’s at-large seats will be up for grabs.
None of the council members on Karnes City’s governing body will see their terms expire this year (each council member and the mayor will be up for election next year, though).
On the Karnes City school board, none of the trustees’ terms will expire this year, but four are set to expire next year.
