Local election officials are reminding Karnes County residents that Tuesday, October 10 is the last day to register to vote to be eligible to vote in the November 7 general election.

Residents can register to vote in person at the Karnes County Tax Office located at 200 E. Calvert Street in Karnes City, or they may print an application online at www.sos.state.tx.us.

If mailed, the application must be postmarked by October 10 to be eligible to vote in the November 7 election.

October 10 is also the last day to make name/address changes.

On Election Day, you are required to vote in the precinct that is on your yellow voter card.

If you have moved, please make changes by October 10. In order for the the voter registrar to make these changes, the changes have to be in writing. The voter registrar’s office can not take information over the phone.
