The Karnes County Relay for Life will host a kick-off rally on Tuesday, Jan. 23 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Karnes City Hall Auditorium. Refreshments will be served.

The rally is an opportunity for all residents to come together and kick off the Relay and learn more about the event and how to get involved. Everyone is welcome.

The Relay for Life is an overnight community celebration where individuals and teams camp out, barbecue, dance and take part in walking around a track "relay style" to raise funds to fight cancer.

Relay for Life will take place on May 4 and 5 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at Poss Johnson Field in Karnes City. The goal is to raise $32,000 and have 25 teams participate.
