HGTV show on Farris Bank will air next week

The project to transform a historic bank building in downtown Kenedy into a home for Ed and Kathryn Farris will be featured in an episode of reZONED on HGTV next week.

The program will air on Wednesday, May 30 at 5:30 p.m. CST.

The project to remodel the building which is now known locally as "Farris Bank" was a labor of love, according to the owners who live in Sugar Land, but spend a lot of their leisure time in Kenedy.

ReZONED is a program that focuses on projects where buildings which weren’t originally intended for use as homes, are remodeled into interesting and unique residences for their owners.

The HGTV video crew spent a lot of time filming in Kenedy when they visited in March of 2006 and include several local locations as backdrops in the program.

There were two stories in The Countywide related to this project and the visit from the television crew. Click the links below to read these stories.
