October 9 is last day to register to vote in upcoming November election

Voters will decide to whether or not to approve 16 constitutional amendments on the ballot

Local election officials are reminding local voters not to pass up their opportunity to vote.

Tuesday, October 9 is the last day to register to be eligible to vote in the November 6 Constitutional Amendment Election.

Residents can register to vote in person at the Karnes County Tax Office, 200 E. Calvert, Karnes City, or may print an application online at www.sos.state.tx.us.

If mailed, the application must be postmarked by October 9 to be eligible to vote in the November 6 election.

October 9 is also the last day to make name/address changes. On Election Day, residents are required to vote in the precinct that is on the yellow voter card. Residents who have moved are asked to please make changes by October 9. In order for the voter registrar to make these changes, the changes have to be in writing, the voter registrar’s office can not take information over the phone.
