Local church hosts ‘Walk through Jerusalem’

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Kenedy will again present the Lenten drama, "Walk Through Jerusalem" on March 30 and 31, from 6-8 p.m.   The guide-led Lenten drama takes visitors through dramatic scenes depicting events from the night before the crucifixion of Christ.  General Chairman Gretchen Dupnik invites guests to dress casually and wear walking shoes.  Tours depart from the sanctuary about every 15 minutes, and each walk lasts about 30 minutes.  The last walk will depart at 8:30 p.m., said Dupnik.  The walk is free of charge.

The cast includes more than thirty men, women and children in nine scenes.  Kathy Oehlke is in charge of advertising, and Sharan Russell is in charge of costumes.

A Fried Fish Plate Dinner will be available in the Fellowship Hall, beginning at 6:00 until 8:30 pm.  The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is located on Hwy. 72 West, approximately one half mile from US Hwy. 181, in Kenedy.  For more information, contact Pastor Wally Schievelbein at (830) 583-2285, or pastorwally@sbcglobal.net.
