San Antonio, TX – The Non-Haltered Trophy Longhorn Steer champions were announced at the 2008 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.

Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion honors went to Drs. Joyce, Janis and Scott Kimble of Kimble Cattle Company in Karnes City, Texas.

The Grand Champion steer was named WOW KCC and the Reserve Grand Champion Steer was named KC Ranger.

Out of the seven longhorns in the class the Kimble Cattle Company placed first through fifth. Winners were WOW, Ranger, Luke, Oreo KCC and Mojo.

McKenna Kimble won second place in her showings and also third place in intermediate showmanship.

LL Raider won second place in the halter steer category and second place in the junior grand steer category. Cracker Bob, the youngest at the show, won in the junior steer category.

Belt Buckle awards made specially for the show were designed and donated by Dr. Janis Kimble and Sean O’Brien.

Joyce Kimble said that this was probably Wow’s last show. Wow has won many awards and honors for the Kimble family through the years.
