Country Boy's Granddaughters

By: W.C. Reader
About five years ago, a picture appeared in The Countywide, showing a proud, elderly fellow holding two tiny babies in the crooks of his arms. Turns out, it was old Country Boy holding his granddaughters, who were about one week old at the time. Their parents are Chuck Richmond and Ann (Reader) Richmond of Beeville; and their grandparents are W.C. Reader (Country Boy) Reader and Doris (Mama) Reader, and Eleanor Steinbach of Platteville, Wisconsin.
During the intervening of years since their birth on April 13, 1999, a number of people have made inquiry as to how these twin sisters are getting along, especially since they have to carry the burden of having Country Boy as their grandpa. So, he being a strong believer that pictures – sometimes – speak louder than words, is showing you a picture of how Lauren and Mikala Richmond look on their approaching fifth birthday on April 13, 2004. They are as talkative as grandma, and these charming little girls show a striking resemblance to grandpa, don’t you think?
